Review: God Gave Us The World

God Gave Us the World (God Gave Us...)
Immediately when I opened this book, I smiled. I love the bright watercolor-type pictures, the colorful scarves around the little bears necks, and just the expressions caught by the artist of little kids.

The book "God Gave Us the World" shares about a polar bear family visiting a "Bears Around the World" museum, which sparks dozens of "but why?" questions from Little Cub. "Why do they wanna live there?", "Why do they eat that?".... And Mama Bear patiently answers them all with the basic but solid answers that all the bears live in different places, eat different things, and look different, because God is creative and had fun creating us all different!

The book is geared for children ages 4-8 years old, which I think is a perfect age. Not only is it educational on the basics of different bears, but brings up some great questions that provide Christian parents with the chance to talk about how creative God is, and take it the next step further to look out how we as people are all created different, too. The principles/statements are fairly repetitive as the book continues on, but for a child, this will be perfect. I look forward to my son getting old enough to enjoy this book with me!

  1. I haven't read this book, but love the other ones I've read, "God gave us you" and "God gave us two" I think. Super cute books. My kids love them and they're only four and three.
P.S. How's the blogging for books work? Do you have to have a lot of "followers" for your blog to be able to do it?
